Obituary of Horace Brown

Horace Brown, 73, husband of Audrey Roscoe Brown, died Monday, November 30, 2020 at Prisma Health Tuomey. Born in St. George, he was a son of the late Clarence Brown and Sarah Hezekiah Brown. Mr. Brown was a member of the Church of the Holy Comforter and was a retired Director of Health & Physical Education for the Department of Education in New York City, NY. He was a U. S. Army veteran of Vietnam. Surviving are his wife; two sons, James Edwards and Rodney Brown (Paula); four daughters, Nicole Brown, Latashia Brown, Belinda Brown and Tynishia Brown; two brothers, Lou Brown and Clarence Brown; five sisters, Rosa Brown, Daisy Locke, Lettie Ana Brown, Barbara Ana Brown and Dianne Brown. Memorial Services will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday in the Church of the Holy Comforter with the Rev. John Sosnowski officiating. All attendees are required to wear masks and practice social distancing. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Church of the Holy Comforter, 213 N. Main Street, Sumter, SC 29150.
