Palmer and Michael Ball posted a condolence

Michael and I just learned of Lois’ death when her Christmas card was returned. Michael met Lois and Doug when he moved to Sumter in 1985. They quickly took him under their wings and introduced him to a fun social life in Sumter. Michael will always cherish the night he met both Lois and Doug at Shag nights and those wonderful midnight omelettes.
Our condolences to Lois snd Doug’s children.

My name is Chris Brown, and I met Ms. Lolo (as I called her) at a yardsale! We quickly became great friends for the past 15 years! Although I’m from Rocky Mount NC, my Aunt Seluda lives near Sumter so I’d always visit Ms. Lolo when I could! I was very honored to be there today at her service and meet all of her family! I will keep you all in my prayers!
Love,
Chris Brown

We sure enjoyed knowing Lolo. It is she who introduced us to the Newcomers Club shortly after moving to Sumter, and thus we met many nice people and enjoyed having a social life in our new home. We enjoyed playing bridge with her as well as knowing her. She was never at a loss for words! We will miss her presence in our lives.
