Walt was without a doubt one of my favorite people in the world. I will miss his big genuine smile that literally lit up his entire face the most. He always gave me a kiss on my forehead when I was leaving…I SO love you Walt

Prayers to the Family. Our hearts are broken, We love you, Momma and Nae Nae . Mr. Walt, thank you for the fun times of hearing you and the band play. Also, thank you for the hours you spent listening and teaching Mark the guitar. I will think of you every time he plays. You were Country while he was Rock-'n'-roll. You will be missed dearly. Rest peaceful Pop.

Mr. Walt was a wonderful man and AMAZING musician, and Donald loved the time he spent playing with him. Every weekend I wasn't working, I went with Donald to hear them play at the Country Music Barn. What a great time I had with Ms. Joan, and out on the floor with Tina, as we danced while he played. Mr. Walt was an inspiration to so many, he will be sorely missed. Donald and I send our sincerest condolences and prayers to all family and friends. RIP Mr. Walt

I remember when he drove an 18 wheeler and mom, my sister and me got to ride with him from Ca to Oregon. Also many memories of Pop with his grandsons Richard A.Waters and Joshua Kirby. They were honored to call him pop and brag that he was the best guitar players in Sumter They used to go to the country music barn to listen to him play. He also had the opportunity to meet one of his 3 great grandchildren which was Landon Kirby. He never had the opportunity to meet his other 2 great grands,Bailey Kirby and Ryan Waters But Pop your legacy and memory will live on thru stories and pictures. RIP ❤️

Walt was a wonderful musician that few if any could compare to! His talent lives on in the thousands who heard him play and those who shared the stage with him. Condolences to Joann and family.
