To Jo's family from Marion and Alice Mathis: We have known Jo through the years, mostly through the Sumter Shag Club. However, I first met Jo at church Life Group which would meet weekly. Not going into the particulars, we were sitting across from each other in a circle and something was said -which was supposed to be serious- but I looked up and saw the twinkle in her eye and I knew she was thinking what I was thinking. It took all we could do from laughing aloud. From that point, we became friends. She would have me laughing in a second!!! I loved her as a dear sweet friend and will miss not seeing her, and hearing her laughter!!!! We are so sorry for your loss, but we know she is happy and continuing to laugh in heaven!!!!

Of the thousands of people I have known, Jo was one of my favorites. Her sister-in-law who passed away two days prior, Pat James Fiddler was also a favorite. Losing two favorite classmates in the same week is sad. George L. King glkglk@aol.com
