Obituary of Jo Fidler Gaymon

Jo Fidler Gaymon, 84, widow of James Timothy Gaymon, died Monday, October 16, 2023, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late James Ray Fidler and Margaret Ballard Fidler. Mrs. Gaymon was a retired medical technician at Tuomey Hospital. Surviving are two sons, John Lee Janes (Carro) of AK and Edward J. Janes of GA; one sister, Margaret Ann Fidler Rivers of Sumter; one sister-in-law, Pat Fidler of Sumter. She was predeceased by one brother, Dr. Phil Fidler. Funeral Services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Rivers officiating. Burial will follow in the Sumter Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. Thursday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
