Obituary of Blaine Alan Varner

Blaine Alan Varner, 59, husband of Kristen Manno Varner, 50, died May 21 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital surrounded by his wife and children. Born in Midland, MI, he was a son of Earl Marvin Varner and the late Helen Fitak Varner. Blaine was a member of St. Anne & St. Jude Roman Catholic Church. He was a Physician Assistant at Tandem Health and a U. S. Air Force veteran. Blaine was known for his love of music, especially playing his guitar with friends and writing poetry that sometimes became a song. He loved exploring the outdoors far and wide whether that be the mountains or his yard. If you could get him into the house, he was probably having fun in the kitchen making culinary creations using the latest gadgets. He brought joy to others with his infectious sense of humor and zest for life. His constant curiosity and chatty personality meant he never met a stranger. Blaine had a fierce love for his family, friends, and helping others. Surviving are his wife along with his father; two sons, Rian Varner and Zachary Varner; two daughters, Bethany Newell (Caleb) and Emma Frank; one brother, Ricky Varner; two sisters, Renay Baker (Larry) and Cyndi Bixler (Robert); two grandchildren, Banks Newell and Cassidy Newell and a host of loving family members. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 31 at 1:00pm at St. Anne & St. Jude Roman Catholic Church. Blaine’s brother, Fr. Ricky Varner, will be officiating with Fr. Giovannie Nunez, CRM.
