Anne was a very special friend. We shared a lot of meals together, especially from Mike's Seafood in Boone NC. I will miss her sweet smile and her Christian friendship. "Till we meet again.
The sad news of Anne's death brought to an end 32 years of wonderful friendship that Julie and I will always remember with so many lasting memories. We first met Anne and Duane when they invited us to spend a vacation in their lovely Boone home. We felt at once the love and friendship that would blossom from that first meeting. We were able to invite Anne and Duane to our home in England on more than one occasion and this cemented a long and meaningful relationship. We enjoyed many Christmases and other vacation times with them, and they took pleasure in showing us around the wonderful country that they loved so much. They always referred to us as the 'children they never wanted', which was meant with love and humor, which we were very proud of.. Knowing Anne and Duane introduced us to many of their friends and family who we know will share our sadness at this time.
